THE WOLFMAN’S WEIRD OLD RECORDS RETRO RADIO SHOW
The Wolfman’s Weird Old Records Retro Radio Show is dedicated to unearthing and celebrating the lost and forgotten sounds of the 20th Century. Blues, rhythm & blues, jazz, rock and roll, funk, punk, pop, country, reggae, rockabilly, rock steady, ska, folk, and just about anything else he can find that was produced in the 20th Century, the Wolfman is bent on excavating those sounds and introducing them to the ears of young 21st Century listeners. Along with this music, the Wolfman will occasionally include 21st Century music that has a direct connection to 20th Century music - new music in which the influence of 20th Century sound can be clearly delineated. Mixed in with the music are stories from the Wolfman, historical commentary on the records played, and insights into the musicians who recorded them.
Along with being a weekly radio show, the Wolfman’s Weird Old Records Retro Radio Show will also occasionally be used for class purposes, at which time students will be directed to tune in or access an archived episode.
